Our Internship scheme offers an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to gain practical experience within a executive search and recruitment consulting environment, offering a valuable insight into our business culture and building those all important skills required for your future careers. Whichever client project you are placed to assist, you will be guaranteed a taste of life at the heart of Embarc, working alongside fellow Interns and experienced professionals on a variety of exciting projects. You will get an inside look at the people, methods and technologies at work and understand the value we place on quality and integrity. Interns are typically exposed to the day-to-day operations, with the opportunity to be guided by established industry professionals.


What We Look For


Whilst each Internship will have its own particular requirements, there are a number of attributes which you will need to demonstrate during the selection process. We require our Interns to be either currently studying at University (or equivalent), or to have recently graduated. Fundamental skills will include a high standard of written and spoken English, numeracy and computer-literacy. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, a flexible approach and a team player mentality. A genuine passion and enthusiasm is essential for you to gain the most from your placement, along with a willingness to learn, and a high level of commitment. Basic Japanese language ability is required for our Japan office, but applicants with strong Japanese will be favored (JLPT N1, N2).


Working Entitlement


If you are looking for an Internship within Japan you must have a valid Japanese work visa. If you do not have full working entitlement you will need to arrange the appropriate documentation to allow you to be employed in Japan. If you are shortlisted you will be asked to provide evidence of your right to work in Japan.

Things to Consider

  • Full training, support, mentoring and coaching will be provided during your internship.
  • Our Internships provide paid work experience.
  • There are no guarantees of permanent employment on completion of the Internship period. However, Interns are welcome to apply for any available vacancies.

The ideal applicants should reside in the Tokyo area, and hold a valid visa. Basic Japanese language ability is required, but applicants with strong Japanese will be favored (JLPT N1, N2).
